Kathy (Larson) Doyle, of Cicero, IN, who loved God and her family more than life itself, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 29th. She was a proud mother to five children and special Grammy to fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband of 47 years, Jim, is her high school sweetheart from Princeton, IN. They relocated from Noblesville to Cicero earlier this year to be closer to their church family at Cicero Christian Church and to their daughter, Keely.

Nothing was more important to Kathy than her faith in Jesus Christ. It was evident in the way she treated people, served her neighbors and cared for her family and friends. She devoted her life to volunteer work, serving countless women on Tres Dias retreat weekends, where she was dearly loved.

Born to Kathryn (Dunning) and Richard Larson of Francisco, IN, June 4, 1949, she grew up in rural Indiana and married Jim on March 16, 1968, in Princeton. Their five children—Chris, Heidi, Holly, Ryan and Keely—all born in Indiana, live in the greater Indianapolis area and one in Florida. A stay-at-home Mom, Kathy prided herself in raising children and grandchildren, while keeping an immaculate showplace home. She found time for reading, crafts, journaling, church and sports in the few spare moments she had. Kathy was an avid Colts, Irish and Pacers fan.

In addition to her husband and children, Kathy is survived by three brothers—David, Gary and Greg—all of Princeton, IN.

A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, December 5, 11:00 a.m. at Cicero Christian Church, 1715 Stringtown Pike in Cicero, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Indy Tres Dias, 24146 Cornell Rd, Noblesville, IN 46060.

I have nothing but happy memories of Kathy and her wonderful laugh! We may have been different classes, but we were in the same Girl Scout troop together in high school and she was lots of fun in that, too. I know everyone will miss her.

My deepest sympathies to Kathy’s family. Kathy and I along with Jim grew up in Tower Heights. I have fond memories of Kathy and I cutting each other’s hair. We sang in the church choir together. She had a contagious smile and fun-loving personality.

I send my condolences. My memories are of a very fun loving girl who was friendly to everyone and full of energy. It doesn’t surprise me she had and lived her faith in our Lord and Savior.
We had an extraordinary class at PHS who welcomed all of us from Mt Olympus; Kathy was one of those individuals. I am blessed to have known her. I pray God’s peace and comfort for her family and all who love her.

So sorry for your loss, did not know Kathy that well, but it was evident she was a Godly woman and imitated Christ at all times. A loss to the family but heaven has gained another saint.

Kathy was my table leader at Tres Dias #36. She lead me to a place I haven’t been to before in beliveing. She shared things I could relate to and couldn’t share with anyone but her. Holly and Keely made a difference I would hae never dreamed of. I’m so thankful for what she taught me in reading my bible and devotional to help me thru every day life. Jim thank you for helping my husband Bill in his walk T
res Dias 36 Love to your whole family.

Thank you for your prayers and continued support. I miss Mom dearly. Forgot to mention her vocation as a beautician and all the bowl haircuts I got growing up. As my sister Keely called her “precious,” she was. And she touched so many lives, hardly ever meeting a stranger. Hope to see everyone at her Celebration of Life service this Saturday in Cicero. #mamadoylestrong

My most sincere sympathy to Jim and the family. My father, Herb, and Jim spent many weekends together in the early days of Tres Dias Atlanta, Ga. as well as establishing a chapter in FL together. It was with deep regret my parents heard the news of Kathy’s home going, yet rejoicing because of the hope they know she had in Jesus Christ. They wanted me to add their expressions of condolences to mine. Kathy’s investment in eternal things will continue to reap dividends untold.
